TheBiomics requires resource person to create informational and educational video for education and training purpose.

Here are few instructions to create interactive and informative video for the Biomics platform (Visit Youtube for example videos). There instructions are subjected to be updated from time to time.

Our expectations from your videos:

  1. You should select the topic which you have good knowledge, preferably select the topic related to your current work.
  2. Try to cover the topic in English in easy language.
  3. Use  MS PowerPoint application to create presentation (
    ). First slide should contain name, designation and institute. Avoid any water mark or third party symbols.
  4. Video should have 16:9 ratio and avoid corners and borders of the videos.
  5. Please avoid any background noise and test your audio before final recording.
  6. Kindly use appropriate font size and font type (prefer Calibri or Arial which is available on every system)
  7. Include animations, figures, flow chart etc. during presentation. Also avoid using any copyright image or text (like using images from other books). Tables and graphs from reputed authors and books can be used, given proper reference.
  8. Please try to connect the flow between the slides and we expect the video to cover the concept without any dependency (like part 2 or watch this or that video for this concept).
  9. We are preparing videos for JRF, MS or PhD students from different fields of Biology, so we expect you to go through Previous Year Questions and Syllabus of the concept before preparing the slides for video (to cover the topics in depth).
  10. Video length should be minimum (4-10 minute for a concept/small topic) and avoid the topics for which there are free video already available.
  11. Video should contain a brief introduction of what you are going to cover in the video and provide further reading books or reference. Title, description (60-100 words) should be there in the slides. Slides should contain readable fonts which should be visible on mobile devices clearly. Background and color scheme of the presentation should be simple and soothing to eyes.
  12. Optionally, we should add a summary of the concepts cleared in the video in the form of summary, quick note, or revision as a take away message in the last slide.
  13. While recording we should ensure that audio only version of video is also effective during revision of the concept.
  14. Please prepare PowerPoint slides as instructed so that if required other team members can update or edit the video in PowerPoint.
